Jharkhand’s new state emblem unveiled

Ranchi (Jharkhand), Aug 14 (ANI): Jharkhand got its new state emblem on August 14. Governor Draupadi Murmu unveiled the new state emblem at Aryabhatta Auditorium in Jharkhand’s Ranchi. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was also present during the unveiling ceremony. The new state emblem represents Jharkhand's natural and mineral prosperity, culture, tradition and dedication towards nation. It also has ‘Palash’ flower which is the symbol of natural beauty. ‘Palash’ is also Jharkhand's state flower. State's animal elephant too has got an important place in the new emblem. Green colour has been given priority in the circular emblem which is a symbol of progress. New emblem is circular in shape. Outer circle has Jharkhand Government written on it in Hindi, followed by state's animal in second circle. Then come Palash flower and representation of Jharkhand's culture. India's national emblem (Ashoka Pillar) is there in the inner circle representing dedication towards nation.
