J-K's Ganderbal Degree College to get 72-bed girls hostel soon

Ganderbal (Jammu and Kashmir), Oct 15 (ANI): In Jammu and Kashmir, the construction of 72-bed girls hostel for Government Degree College at Ganderbal district is running at high pace to give better opportunity to girl students. The girls come from the far flung areas will get accommodation in this hostel building and will able to complete their studies. They don't have to drop out college due to travelling time. At present, the students have to travel long distance to get college. The local people appreciated the step. "As there is lack of transportation facility here, due to which students were not getting enough time for study. I am thankful to government for talking this step. I hope, these kinds of steps will continue in future," said a local. "We will complete the construction work by March 2021. We have increased the pace of construction work. We may face some delay due to natural calamities, but we are trying best to complete it on time," said Shakeel Ahmad, Junior Engineer of PWD (Public Works Department).
