Intense rainfall batters Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 05 (ANI): Incessant rains jolted Mumbai as several areas were inundated. Tree uprooted at Mahalaxmi race course area. Hindmata and Dadar areas turned into ponds and Mumbaikars struggled to walk and ride their motorbikes. Due to intense spell of rain special suburban trains have been suspended temporarily. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The red alert was issued for the second consecutive day as rains continued to lash Mumbai and adjoining districts since August 04.
