Indore idol maker opts for cow dung to prepare eco-friendly Ganesha

Indore (Madhya Pradesh), July 23 (ANI): In Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, an idol maker is using cow dung to make Lord Ganesha idols when most artisans are still using POP (Plaster of Paris). Meet Shweta Paliwal, an idol maker who adopted the go-green mantra when it comes to their creations. Where POP made idols take several years to fully dissolve in the water, cow dung idols dissolve quickly. Explaining the benefits of using cow dung, Shweta Paliwal, the artisan told ANI, “For the environment, I am creating cow dung idols of Lord Ganesha. I made 3, 6 and 9 inches idols of Ganesha while using cow dung.”
