Mumbai, Jan 14 (ANI): The Indian armed forces celebrated ‘Veterans’ Day’ on January 14. The wreath laying ceremony was held at 'Gaurav Stambh' - a monument to commemorate Victory at Sea. Indian armed officers paid tribute to all deployed personnel of the Western Naval Command. The ‘Veterans’ Day’ marks recognition of services provided by first Commander-in-Chief of Indian Army, Field Marshal KM Cariappa. On this day in 1953, Field Marshal KM Cariappa got retired.
