India wants peace, but upholding sovereignty is foremost: PM Modi

New Delhi, June 19 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on India-China border issue stated that India wants peace and friendship but holding sovereignty is foremost. “I assure you all that our security forces are fully capable of protecting our borders,” said PM Modi . “India has never come under external pressure. Whatever is necessary for country’s protection will be expedited. India wants peace and friendship, but upholding sovereignty is foremost,” he further added. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired virtual all-party meeting on June 19 to discuss India-China border situation. The meeting began with two-minute silence for fallen soldiers, who lost their lives in violent clash with Chinese troops in Galwan valley.
