India reports highest single-day spike of 20,903 COVID cases, tally at 6.25 lakh

New Delhi, Jul 03(ANI): After reporting stabilising numbers, although already on higher levels, India on July 03 once again saw steepest spike of 20,903 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Positive cases now stand at 6,25,544, which includes 2,27,439 active cases. Comparatively, dip continued in the number of deaths in the country, 379 deaths were reported in last 24 hours. Indian Council of Medical Research confirmed 92,97,749 total number of samples tested up to July 02, after testing 2,41,576 for the virus in the last 24 hours.
