India reports 69,921 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi, Sep 01 (ANI): India on September 01 reported single-day spike of 69,921 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare showed. 819 deaths in the last 24 hours took the COVID-19 toll in the country to 65,288. India’s confirmed cases of coronavirus are now 36,91,167 which include 7,85,996 active infections. More than 28,39,883 people have recovered from the deadly disease. According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 10,16,920 samples were tested on August 31. Cumulative samples tested for COVID-19 till August 27 are 4,33,24,834.
