New Delhi, June 25 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) commented over flood mitigation work on Bihar's Gandak barrage. MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said, “There is already an existing bilateral mechanism between India and Nepal. Embankments and anti-erosion works have already commenced. Both sides are coordinating on a real-time basis to minimise damage due to flooding this Monsoon.”Bihar government has flagged flood threat over the issue as barricades put up by Nepal on its border with India is hindering embankment repair work on Gandak Barrage, which is essential for flood control.
