Increase testing for better control over corona infection: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) Dec 14 (ANI) : ‘For effective prevention from COVID-19 infection, the scope of investigation should be extended.’ The Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot asserted while reviewing the situation of coronavirus in the state. He said that a maximum number of tests should be done so that the infection can be detected in time to stop its spread. He also directed the officials to ensure proper arrangements for vaccination soon. The Chief Minister maintained that the delay in tests poses a threat to people's life and makes the patient's condition critical. Keeping this in mind, doctors and health workers should ensure that people with symptoms like cold and cough are necessarily examined. The Chief Minister underlined that at present there is enough testing capacity in the state, but our effort is to have maximum testing to break the chain of infection. For this, the test capacity should be increased to one lakh in line with the target. While reviewing the preparations for COVID -19 vaccine, CM Gehlot said that sufficient numbers of centres should be set up throughout the state for vaccination and these centres should have adequate arrangements for vaccination so that people do not face any kind of problem. He also directed to ensure all the necessary arrangements for safe transport and storage of the vaccine.
