IAF launches precision strike to mark 2nd anniversary of Balakot operation

New Delhi, Feb 27 (ANI): The Indian Air Force carried out a long range precision strike against a practice target to mark the second anniversary of the Balakot Operations. The strike was carried out by members of the same squadron who carried out the actual operations inside Pakistan in response to the Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed. IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria also flew a multi aircraft sortie with the units to commemorate the occasion along with the squadron pilots. 'Balakot Air Strike', was the first aerial assault carried out by India in Pakistan after the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Balakot Air Strike was carried out as a reply to Pulwama attack that claimed lives of 40 CRPF officials. Second anniversary of the Balakot Operations was marked on February 26.
