High alert at railway stations ahead of 4-hour blockade by farmers

Palwal (Haryana)/ Ghaziabad (UP): Feb 18 (ANI): Police personnel have been deployed at various railway stations across the country ahead of the nationwide four-hour blockade by protesting farmers on February 18. Police personnel were seen guarding the Palwal railway station, in wake of 'rail roko' from 12 pm to 4 pm. In view of the protest, Railways has deployed 20 additional companies of the Railway Protection Special Force across the country with a focus on Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Farmers have been protesting at different borders of the national capital since late November last year, against the three newly enacted farm laws. Talks between farmers and centre have remained inconclusive so far.
