Handcrafted bamboo bottles in Tripura, sustainable alternative to plastic

Agartala (Tripura), July 15 (ANI): The locals are engaged in crafting bamboo bottles in Tripura’s Agartala. Tripura Rehabilitation Plantation Corporation Limited (TRPC) has arranged training for large number of tribal youth in making bamboo water bottles to fulfil the increasing demand. The process of manufacturing these bottles is organic and bamboo is boiled along with Neem, turmeric and other herbal items. These eco-friendly water bottles are gaining popularity. While speaking to ANI, the In-charge at Bamboo and Cane Development Institute, Avinab Kant said, “Presently, this is a product that has great market and demand. People are willing to buy these bottles as they are eco-friendly.”
