Guwahati zoo installs fans for animals to beat humidity

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 16 (ANI): Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden has taken steps to keep animals comfortable amid the sultry weather. Zoo administration has installed fans and water spraying equipments to combat the surge in temperature, and help the animals in coping with the rising mercury. “Due to humidity in the temperature, we have installed air conditioner in quarantine and hospital facility for animals. For elephants we have natural water bodies and lakes,” the Divisional Forest Officer, Tejas Mariswamy.
