Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Jan 24 (ANI): A unique project to save the environment has taken over district schools in Aurangabad. Green School Mission aims to plant dense forest cover and along with it educate students about the same. Each school has one dense forest and so far, 103 dense forests have been made using the Miyawaki technique. Miyawaki is a unique technique that uses native species to create dense, multilayered forests. Dozens of native species are planted in the same area, close to each other, which ensures that the plants receive sunlight only from the top, and grow upwards than sideways. In total 65, 000 trees have been planted under this initiative.
