Govt's Anganwadi centres benefitting children, women in Pulwama

Pulwama (J and K), Dec 09 (ANI): Government-run Angwanwadi centres are playing a vital role to boost child development and women care in Kashmir valley. These centres work under the supervision of Department of Social Welfare. These developmental activities are going on under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme through the Anganwadi Centres of valley. Food, education and healthcare facilities are being provided to pregnant women and children under this scheme. Proper nutrition, health-checkups, pre-schools are also part of the program. Pregnant women are being educated about precautions during pregnancy that they can take care of, as pregnancy is the most critical time for any woman.
