Girls bag top 3 positions in Poonch class 10 exams, get felicitated

Poonch (J&K), Jul 03(ANI): Poonch district administration felicitated top 15 students who excelled in the matric board results. Of the 15 toppers, 11 were girls and of them 5 girls had bagged the top 3 positions. One of the merit students said, “We have practically proved our Prime Minsiter’s scheme ‘Bet Bachao, Beti Padhao’ in this backward district.” Poonch DC Rahul Yadav said, “I hope the parents would now understand that how the education of girls are equally important and that nowadays that have started outperforming our boys. I would request the parents to keep supporting their daughters for studies.”
