Ganga Utsav to connect people with govt’s river cleaning mission: Jal Shakti Minister

New Delhi, Nov 05 (ANI): The three-day 'Ganga Utsav 2020' organised by National Mission for Clean Ganga has reached its conclusion on 4th November 2020. The event was organised to celebrate 12th anniversary of Ganga being declared as the national river of India. The event was held in coordination with India’s Jal shakti ministry where Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat presided over the event. It was aimed at creating awareness about keeping Ganga and its tributaries clean.Infotainment programmes including a puppet show, quest programme were also organised during the three-day Ganga Utsav 2020. River Ganga has a significant economic, environmental and cultural value in India. By holding such alluring events, the NMCG aims at achieving maximum public participation in its endeavour of cleaning Ganga and its tributaries.
