Vadodara (Gujarat), Delhi, Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Aug 21 (ANI): Ahead of ‘Ganesha Chaturthi’ celebrations across the nation, eco-friendly ‘Ganesha’ idols are in demand this year. Kamdhenu Gau Amrita, a Vadodara-based organisation has made eco-friendly Ganesha idols using cow-dung, that can be dissolved in tub filled with water for further use as fertilizer. In Tamil Nadu, Kovai Kulangal Padhukaapu, an NGO that cleans water bodies in Coimbatore made eco-friendly Ganesha idols with lentil seeds embedded in them. Unfortunately, due to pandemic Idol makers are bearing brunt in Delhi said, “There is less customer in the market these days. We are making small idols this year,” said an idol maker. Ganesha Chaturthi this year will be celebrated with fervour, but restrictions due to extant coronavirus situation.
