Farm bills: Congress, CPI (M) stage protest in parts of country

Delhi/Ludhiana/Chennai, Sep 21 (ANI): Country witnessed several protests on September 21 against the farm bills. Communist Party of India (Marxist) blocked roads in Chennai and demanded the Chief Minister to not implement the bill in the state. Congress also staged protest in Ludhiana and Delhi today. Protestors sat on ground and raised slogans against the Centre in Ludhiana. In the national capital today, Congress workers threatened to encircle the Parliament. Rajya Sabha passed the Farmers' and Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion & Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and Farmers (Empowerment & Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 on September 20.
