DFCCIL’s futuristic Operation Control Centre starts functioning in Prayagraj

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) December 31 (ANI): Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has set up a state-of-the-art Operation Control Centre (OCC) in Prayagraj. The centre will act as the command centre for the entire route length of 1,856 Km of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) between Dankuni in West Bengal to Ludhiana in Punjab, controlling and monitoring the system including Train operation and power supply system. A significant characteristic of this centre is a theatre of 1,560 square metres with a video wall of more than 90 square metres. The OCC has a total built-up area of 13,030 square metres and has been developed on 4.20 acres. It is one of the most modern and resilient control buildings of its kind globally for Train Operations. It is equipped with the first of its kind Integrated Train Management System (TMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System in India. The building is environment-friendly equipped with solar power and rain water harvesting system.
