Delhi Police arrests fraud insurance agent

New Delhi, 15 Dec (ANI): Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police arrested an insurance agent and a sales manager, involved in the misappropriation of funds, in lieu of good return and benefits. Accused persons tricked an innocent senior citizen into investing insurance policies to get the lucrative returns and benefit, won his confidence and obtained huge amount to the tune of Rs. 3.50 crore approximately in lieu of insurance policies in the name of victim and his family members and misappropriated the same by issuing fake policies. In turn, the accused persons issued policies in their own names from the amount received from the victim. In this regard, police received a complaint. During the course of investigation, serious evidence of fraud was found, on the basis of which police arrested the accused and sent them to jail. Further investigation is in progress.
