New Delhi, January 15 (ANI): Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police arrested absconding accused Shashank Jain. The accused is involved in inducing and duping 78 investors on the pretext of providing them kiosks on lease. He misrepresented all the investors that his company has requisite approval to provide them space on lease. In view of this, a complaint was lodged at police station Prashant Vihar. During the course of investigation, it was revealed that the accused person used to issue allotment letters to complainants and provided them kiosks on lease, against payment, without having any authority to sub-lease the kiosks. After collecting Rs. 3 Crores, the accused person closed his offices and fled the area overnight. The accused was evading the process of investigation from the initial stage. All possible hideouts were checked but no clue emerged about the accused person. After sincere efforts, the team of Economic Offences Wing finally arrested the accused. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
