Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 10 (ANI): As the flash floods in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli following a glacier burst swept the district, several villages got cut-off after the tragedy. Several migrant workers from UP and Bihar who have been stranded in these villages were initially declared missing. With no means to communicate initially, the migrant workers revealed that their families thought they have gone missing. “I was working in Tolma village when the mishap happened. I couldn't contact my family due to no connectivity for some time. When I spoke to them recently, they shared how stressed they were and wondered if I had gone missing. I have now assured them of my safety,” Kaminder, a migrant worker from Amroha told ANI.
