COVID-19: Tibetans ask WHO to immediately call back scientists team from China

New Delhi, July 14 (ANI): Tibetan community in Delhi which was jointly led by leaders of all Tibetan NGOs gathered outside the office of World Health Organization (WHO) and submitted a memorandum on July 14. 10 Tibetan association of Delhi met with WHO and United Nations (UN) officials and gave the memorandum to immediately call back the team of WHO scientists who are presently in China. They demanded that China must make a public announcement that the scientists in compliance with the WHO resolution to identify the zoonotic source of the coronavirus and not at their invitation. The people of Tibetan community were seen wearing t-shirts and face masks with slogans like-‘China Lied People Died’, ‘Boycott China’ and ‘Free Tibet’ etc. outside the office of WHO in Delhi. While speaking to ANI, former deputy speaker and former home minister of Tibetan Parliament in Exile, Dolma Gyari said, “The leaders of the Tibetan community in Delhi which is represented by 10 various Tibetan organisations. They are leading this delegation today to the WHO. Now, we will move towards the United Nations Informations office.” “Team of scientists in WHO should immediately return back because their purpose will not be solved,” she added.
