COVID-19: Recovery rate stands at about 63%, mortality rate 2.72%

New Delhi, Jul 10 (ANI): Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on July 1o informed that the recovery rate among COVID-19 patients in the country stands at about 63% while mortality rate is just 2.72%. The country on Friday witnessed the highest single-day spike of 26,506 new COVID-19 cases. Maharashtra Police today informed 222 new COVID-19 positive cases and 3 deaths in the state police force in the last 48 hours. On the other hand Border Security Force informed that 73 new COVID-19 positive cases in were reported in the force in last 24 hours. Tamil Nadu reported 3,680 new COVID-19 positive cases and 64 deaths today, taking the total number of positive cases to 1,30,261 including 46,105 active, 82,324 discharges and 1,829 deaths. Where Uttar Pradesh reported 1347 new cases and 27 deaths in last 24 hours, Gujarat reported 875 positive cases of COVID-19 and 14 deaths.
