COVID-19: Panjab University makes device that sanitizes currency

Chandigarh, July 31 (ANI): Amid COVID-19 fear, when people desist from touching anything, Punjab University has come up with a device that sanitizes currency notes and cheques within a minute. The device is developed by Punjab University’s Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Facility (SAIF) and it uses ultra violet rays and thermal disinfection technology to sanitize the currency notes. This device could be very useful as currency notes change hands frequently and increases chance of COVID-19 spread.
