COVID-19: Over 99 lakh recovered in India

New Delhi, Jan 03 (ANI): As per the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India on January 03 reported single-day spike of 18,177 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. 217 deaths in the same period pushed the COVID-19 toll in the country to 1,49,435. India’s confirmed cases of coronavirus stand at 1,03,23,965 which include 2,47,220 active infections. More than 99,27,310 people have recovered from the virus with 20,923 new discharges in last 24 hours. According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 9,58,125 samples were tested on January 03. Cumulative samples tested for COVID-19 till January 03 are 17,48,99,783.
