COVID-19: India’s Case Fatality Rate drops to 2.25%, recovery rate stands at 64%

New Delhi, July 28 (ANI): The cases of coronavirus continued to surge in India. However, India’s Case Fatality Rate is currently at 2.25%. Recovery rate is more than 64% as on today. With 35,176 patients discharged in the last 24 hours, the total recoveries stand at 9,52,743. Maharashtra reported 7,717 new COVID-19 cases and 282 deaths on July 28. The total number of cases in the state rises to 3,91,440 including 1,44,694 active cases and 2,32,277 discharged cases. Delhi recorded 10,887 active cases, with 1,056 cases today. 4,843 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 13,701 Rapid antigen tests were conducted across the national capital. Southern state Tamil Nadu reported 6,972 new COVID-19 cases and 88 deaths today. Meanwhile, lockdown (2 days in a week) in state of West Bengal has been extended till 31st August.
