Construction of Khurja-Dadri section of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor in full swing

Dadri (Uttar Pradesh) July 29 (ANI): Work on Khurja-Dadri section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor is underway in full swing. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman NITI Aayog and Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman Railway Board today inspected the New Track Construction (NTC) construction site on the Khurja-Dadri section. They appreciated the hard work put in by the DFC collective, contractors for this project of national importance and expressed confidence in achieving the deadlines. NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Dr. Rajiv appreciated DFC's proactive 24X7 work. He was impressed by the speedy implementation of the project which will act as a crucial multiplier for the Indian economy. Entire track laying of the DFCCIL is being undertaken by the New Track Construction (NTC) machine which has the capacity to lay 1.5 km track per day and is ensuring safety, precision and reliability. The Khurja-Dadri Section is the connecting link between the Eastern & Western Dedicated Freight Corridors having the capacity to run Heavy Haul & Long Haul Freight trains at 100 kmph.
