Conference on Sufism in Srinagar spreads message of peace

Srinagar (J&K), Nov 14 (ANI): In a bid to revive the cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, the union territory (UT) government organised a two-day conference on Sufism in Srinagar. The aim of the conference, which is being held after a long gap of COVID break, is to bring back the rich age-old cultural history of the region, and make people aware about Sufism, the backbone of Islam, which teaches people to spread peace and love. The conference was organised in collaboration with Srinagar district administration and Directorate of Information Public Relations (DIPR). During the conference, a number of Sufiyana music segments were performed by renowned Sufi signers of the valley, and attracted good audience including writers, poets, authors and other intellectuals.
