CM Gehlot launches special COVID-19 awareness campaign

Jaipur (Rajasthan), June 22 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot launched a special campaign for awareness regarding coronavirus infection through a video conference. With the theme "taking care of one's own health is the main objective to avoid coronavirus", the campaign aims at increasing the rate of recovery from COVID-19 more rapidly and decreasing the fatality rate. Around 1 lakh people including the representatives and authorities up to panchayat level were connected through virtual conferences across the state. During this ten-day campaign, people will be enlightened about safety measures to be taken to prevent coronavirus and spread awareness so that people understand the risk of the disease and adopt methods of prevention. Volunteers and officials will promote Frequent hand washing, maintaining 2-yard distance, not going out without a face mask, not spitting at public places and to immediately visit the nearest hospital for examination and consultation in case of symptoms of coronavirus. Campaign will also be carried out to debunk myths related to infection risks and about precautionary measures necessary after resumption of commercial and other activities after unlock 1.0. It is noteworthy that Rajasthan is the first state in the country which has initiated such a wide-scale awareness campaign.
