Chamoli glacier burst: Rescue teams fear high pressure water from other end of tunnel

Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 10 (ANI): JCB machines are continuously on the task to clear the tunnel near Tapovan dam in Chamoli district. Teams are focused towards clearing the debris and slush which is blocking the way. Chamoli ITBP, DIG, Aparna Kumar said, “Technical issues cropped up in one of the JCB machines, as its tyre busted. Machines to continue to work inside the tunnel. The challenge we are facing is that debris and slush is coming out from the tunnel. We need to progress carefully as water with high pressure might come from inside the tunnel.”
