Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 15 (ANI): NTPC project director, Ujjwal Bhattacharya said that Rs 20 lakh will be provided as compensation for victims in the Chamoli glacier burst that happened on February 07. "We have progressed up to 135 metres inside the Tapovan tunnel. Bodies are being recovered with caution so as to return them to their family members. I think if we go down 10-15 metres more, water will come out. We are really hopeful that we’ll progress inside the tunnel as soon as possible. NTPC will provide Rs 20 lakh as compensation to those who died in the disaster and we are working towards it,” said Ujjwal Bhattacharya.
