New Delhi, Feb 03 (ANI): Speaking on Union Budget 2021-22, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on February 03 said recent Union Budget, announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, support only 1% population of India. Adding on it, he said, “If we want to restart our economy, it will only be through consumption. It is not possible from the supply side.” While addressing a press conference in national capital, Rahul said, “I had expected from the Budget that Govt will provide support to 99% of India's population. But this Budget is that of the 1% population. You snatched away money from people in small & medium industry, workers, farmers, Forces & put it in the pockets of 5-10 people.” “You talk of privatisation which will benefit them. India needs to put money in the hands of its people. Because if we want to restart our economy, it will only be through consumption. It is not possible from the supply side,” he added.
