New Delhi, Sep 02 (ANI): Bangladesh High Commission held condolence meet to honour India's former president Pranab Mukherjee on September 02 in New Delhi. “Though he (Pranab Mukherjee) was an Indian by nationality, he always had a special place in the heart and minds of the people of Bangladesh. He is highly respected and loved by our people both for his role in 1971 when we fought and earned our greatest achievement of thousand years,” said Muhammad Imran, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India. A Digital Condolence Book was launched at High Commission of India, Dhaka in memory of Pranab Mukherjee. Dr AK Abdul Momen, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh paid tribute to Pranab Mukherjee. Former president and Bharat Ratna Pranab Mukherjee passed away at the age of 84 on August 31.
