New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri during a press conference on December 29 informed that there might be a short extension on the temporary suspension of flights from United Kingdom in wake of the new strain of the coronavirus detected in Britain. “We have temporarily suspended the flights. People who came in from the announcement of suspension to midnight, they were suspected to compulsory, mandatory quarantine at the point of arrival. Even those who were tested negative were under home quarantine. I foresee a short extension on this temporary suspension. I don't see the extension to be long or indefinite,” said Hardeep Singh Puri. 6 UK returnees were found positive for the new coronvirus strain at Delhi airport on December 29. The flights have been suspended till December 31.
