Assam madrasas will operate as general educational institute: Education Minister HB Sarma

Guwahati (Assam), Dec 14 (ANI): Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on December 14 informed that 198 high madrasas and 542 other madrasas in Assam will operate as any other general educational institute. “Yesterday, our cabinet decided to make education secular. So, 198 high madrasas and 542 other madrasas in Assam will operate as any other general educational institute and won't give admission to students for theological studies,” said Education Minister Sarma.
