Assam Industry Minister visits Oil India gas well amid raging fire

Tinsukia (Assam), June 10 (ANI): Assam Minister of Transport, Industry and Commerce Chandra Mohan Patowary visited Oil India's gas well to take stock of the situation. Two persons have died so far in the massive fire. Flames continue to erupt from the gas well. Around 1,600 families had already been evacuated from nearby affected areas and are camped in relief camps set up at nearby safe areas. OIL has decided to provide an amount of Rs 30,000 to each of the affected families as an immediate relief.
