ACMS president Paban Singh Ghatowar, said, “Shramik Gorjon' program was organised here to press the demand of tea garden workers. The BJP government had assured to hike the daily wage of garden workers to Rs 351 but the Sarbananda Sonowal led BJP government has failed to fulfill their promise.” The tea unions including ACMS will stage demonstrations and also carry out other protest programs at Biswanath Chariali and Golaghat on January 21 and 28. The tea workers' unions will carry out their 'Dispur Chalo' program on February 8.
