Apple growers in Anantnag receiving benefits under Central schemes

Seer Anantnag (J&K), Aug 20 (ANI): The progressive apple growers in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir are in a huge relief after Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) scheme began providing benefits of loans with subsidies for the construction of Packing and grading sheds for apple growers. The total cost of the construction is approximately 5 lakh rupees, in which 2 lakh is given as subsidy by the centre government. Earlier, apple growers were facing several difficulties in harvesting their apple crops as they had no facility to pack and grade their crops.
