New Delhi, Sep 24 (ANI): Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar spoke to ANI clarifying the apprehensions around new agriculture reforms. Tomar said that APMC’s are run by state governments therefore their bill cannot shut it down. NS Tomar said, “APMCs are run by state governments, our Bill cannot shut it down and we don’t even intend to do so. Our law says that trade area outside APMC mandis will be free from tax. Farmers will have the freedom to choose where they want to sell.” “The tax will be applied to the business done within the mandis and business done outside will not be charged. The farmers have the freedom to decide which path he wants to choose. In the end, farmers will gain the profit,” Tomar added.
