All-weather Nimmu-Darcha-Leh highway to facilitate movement of armed forces

Leh (Ladakh), Sept 05 (ANI): Highway connecting Nimmu-Darcha-Leh to be boon for the movement without being tracked by enemies. The highway is vital amid tensed situation at China border as it stays open for 10-11 months. It will help to reach the destination in half of the time. Superintending Engineer Commander 16 Brtf, MK Jain said, “Importance of this route is that it is the shortest route for the army and civilian to travel from Manali or Jammu side. Secondly, it traverses through low altitude comparatively so it can be utilized for 10-11 months. This road is not going through borders, so army movement cannot be seen by enemies.”
