AIIMS Director calls for testing of ‘asymptomatic’ close contacts of COVID positive

New Delhi, June 12 (ANI): The Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS), Dr Randeep Guleria reacted over the question of not testing asymptomatic people for COVID-19. “Testing is very important, we have to able to test people especially those have symptoms or asymptomatic who have come in close contact with the person who is positive,” said Dr Randeep Guleria. “We were testing only around 10,000-20,000 people per day about 6 weeks ago, now we are testing almost 1.5 lakh people per day and this number is going up every day,” the AIIMS Director further said.
