Ahmedabad (Gujarat), July 14 (ANI): The old age homes of Ahmedabad have been getting more number of inquiries in the current pandemic situation. A lot of people contacted the old age homes to inquire about the vacancy amid lockdown. Managers of old age homes said more people are contacting them amid COVID-19. While Speaking to ANI, the trustee of Jeevan Sandhya Old Age home, Suketu Nagarwadia said, “There have been more inquiries about vacancy in our old age home. But, our old age home is already full. We can't have more people. Many people have lost jobs or facing financial crisis. This has led to more number of inquiries. Even, some families have small houses so keeping social distance is problem. So, many people tried contacting us but our old age home is full and we cannot take more people.” Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hiramani Old age home said, “Our old age home has more number of inquiries and each day we get lot of phone calls. When I asked some of them they gave me reason that they have small children at home and old age people can get infected easily from the virus. We fear that they might get infected and infect other members of family also."
