80-year-old from Ayodhya awaits his Padma Shri award

Ayodhya (UP), Feb 20 (ANI): 80-year-old Sevi Mohammed Sharif received a letter from Government of India in which he was told that he will be honoured with Padma Shri. It has been a year since he received a letter but so far he has not received the award. Sevi Mohammed Sharif resides in Ayodhya and is bed ridden due to several health issues. Sharif’s grandchildren look after him. Family is in hope that after he is honoured with the award, there might be some assistance provided by government for his medical treatment. Sevi Mohammed Sharif made it to coveted list for his social work.
