8 arrested for violating COVID guidelines at ‘sangeet’ ceremony in Gujarat

Dharampur (Gujarat), Dec 29 (ANI): More than 100 people gathered at a wedding function in Gujarat’s Valsad district. It was the ‘sangeet’ ceremony (wedding function) of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dharampur Taluka chief (President) Arvind Bhai’s nephew. The ceremony took place in Dharampur town of Valsad district on December 28. Speaking to ANI, the police official said, “COVID-19 guidelines were flouted at the sangeet ceremony. Case has been registered against 11 people and 8 were arrested in this regard.”
