Heavy rains swept through several parts of Delhi-NCR on Friday, leading to severe waterlogging and significant traffic disruptions. Intermittent downpours continued throughout the day, causing widespread flooding and hampering vehicular movement across the region.
The Delhi High Court on Friday granted interim bail to four co-owners of a basement linked to the tragic deaths of three IAS aspirants in Old Rajinder Nagar. The bail will be in effect until January 30, 2025, said the court.
The rain continued to lash the Delh-National Capital Region on Friday, causing waterlogging and traffic snarls in several areas. The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Friday in the national capital.
The Regional Meteorological Centre of Jaipur issued a yellow alert for Ajmer and an orange alert for other districts with expected moderate to heavy rainfall.
Ajmer District Collector Lok Bandhu said that teams have been working on improving the water situations in the waterlogged areas and further added that alert has been issued on more rain in the district in the coming days.
