Bharatiya Janata Party chief JP Nadda, along with party General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam, handed over the BJP membership certificate to veteran party leader LK Advani in Delhi as part of the party's membership drive on Thursday.
After the BJP released its first list of 67 candidates for Haryana Assembly polls, Congress MP Kumari Selja Congress launched a scathing attack on the BJP's candidate list for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, citing concerns about the party's selection process and leadership.
"I extend my gratitude to the top leadership of the BJP for trusting a small party worker like me, for the second time. BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third time, and CM Nayab Singh Saini will be re-elected as Haryana's Chief Minister," Lila Gujjar told ANI.
The BJP on Wednesday released its first list of 67 candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. As per the list, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will contest from the Ladwa constituency.
Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur on Wednesday launched the BJP's new membership campaign in Himachal Pradesh and criticised the West Bengal government's handling of women's safety issues under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The BJP leader also joined the party candidate Er. Aijaz Hussain from Lal Chowk constituency in Balhama on the outskirts of Srinagar city. Aijaz Hussain will file his nomination today.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Devender Singh Rana affirmed on Tuesday that the BJP and National Conference will not come together as he reiterated his earlier claim that NC leader Omar Abdullah attempted to ally with BJP in 2014.
