West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee rode pillion on a motorcycle in Kolkata on Thursday during a candlelight march to the Gandhi statue in support of wrestlers who are protesting in Delhi.
Several ace grapplers including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik have been protesting against the WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh accusing him of sexual harassment and demanding his arrest.
Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said at a Mumbai function that they are dealing with wrestlers' protest against the Wrestling Federation of India's president Brij Bhushan Singh very sensitively and all the players are important to them.
While speaking to ANI, Delhi Police PRO Suman Nalwa said, "This case was registered earlier this month.SIT is investigating various aspects of the complaint. Further necessary legal action will be taken after the completion of the investigation."

The protesting ace grapplers on Tuesday decided to push back their plan of immersing their medals in the Ganga as a mark of protest against WFI chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh after farmer leader Naresh Tikait intervened and secured a five-day ultimatum from them.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the six-time BJP MP said, "The matter is under investigation by the Delhi Police. If there's any truth to the charges (levelled against him by the wrestlers), an arrest will be made," the WFI chief added.
